I know not many of you probably grow them, but can anyone give me tips on keeping the framework of my little heartnuts strong?
I don’t have pics, but they are small enough that I can choose single trunk, multiple, or a trunk with a low V, etc. The way they are growing naturally, it seems like they’d have multiple trunks of various vigor. I can easily prune off the extra ones now, of course.
Thanks for any tips! If it’s possible to have them be pretty open yet strong, I’d like that best. They’ll be at the woods edge, so open would mean better sun exposure.
