I can see enough now the blooms are falling…my Sweet Treat Pluerry is going to take a lot of thinning…though I might leave one branch unthinned because I think it would be interesting. 3 years ago i got about two dozen fruit. Missed a year from a late freeze…then a whopping 3 fruit last year.
My small 3-1 Asian pear looks like every flower set…easier to tell on the pears for sure…they size quickly. I’ll lilely keep maybe 5-6 of each variety (Shinseiki, 20th Century, Hosui).
My two trees with a small Shiro branch also will need thinning. Maybe an Arctic Star Nectarine or two on the small grafted branch…if it sizes and holds.
The base tree for the Nectarine is a plumcot. More blooms than ever before…too early to look for fruit.
For where i live and the short amount of time I’ve been growing fruit trees, I’ll take it.
And finally two blooms on this Lapins cherry…though i just bought from across the country, so setting two
blooms isn’t credited to this climate
