Thanks, Went to home depot today, their fruit trees are 50% off, got a galaxy donut peach and lapins cherry for $9.99 each, small, but at least not bare root. trying to figure out where to plant

I have a Lapins that does pretty well for me in Ohio. I think you’ll like it for Illinois.

Any guess what rootstocks Stark is putting these pears on? I know they’re funny and mysterious about that.

My guess would be “Standard”=OHxF97, maybe callery; “Semi”=OHxF87; and “Dwarf”=quince. Just a guess though. I like DWN pears because they use OHxF333, my favorite.
