That’s pretty amusing, reminds me of the autonomous death machines they use on some islands in NZ (iirc) to eradicate ferrel cats.

I’ve read there are several parasitic wasps under evaluation as biocontrols. I suspect the wasps will be marginal cheaper than dedicated hunter killer robots, if less cool.

Best line in the article is “ everybody loves a good killer robot.” Unless they’re running from it! I immediately thought of the episode of the British series “Black Mirror” in which a small band of humans navigate the post apocalyptic landscape whilst being hunted by Boston Dynamics style killer robot dogs. Nice to know humans aren’t the only potential target of such a machine.
