I have a three year old Superior plum that has set a few dozen fruits. The shucks have mostly dropped and the fruitlets look fine but there are hardly any leaves yet. There is one big leaf bunch at a branch end and a few other small clumps of leaves. The La Crescent and Gracious plums next to it only set a few fruits each but are really starting to leaf out. Is this a characteristic of Superior?
I grafted 4 plums about 2 weeks ago and Superior was the first to push any growth.
It was a large enough scion for me to use the omega tool on. My first success with the tool (I’ve only use it this year on this apple and this plum)
Superior seems pretty vigorous

i had to re graft mine because my main branch snapped last summer in a storm…the new buds are just pushing leaves the past couple of days.
