Sweet Sixteen

Pretty, deep red, good size, straightforward to grow. Grafted easily. Sweet. Tasted like cherry candy. I’ll give it one more year, but honestly? I’d prefer to use the space on my tree for something I like!

Granddaughter liked it, though. Neither of the two grands we had here this week could taste the cherry.

I had my first two Sweet 16 apples this year. I didn’t taste any cherry, nor find them too sweet. I found them to be winners straight off the tree and am looking forward to more in future years.

Location, location, location -also, “degustibus non est disputatum” and all that! Glad you found a keeper (for you). I’ll give mine another season or so before I axe it.
