The other Goumi

Just saw a very interesting thing on Facebook of a freestone (I’m guessing) latifolia.


Probably isn’t very juicy and is probably inferior for fresh eating, but seems promising for breeding varieties for cooking.
Now the only issue is I believe it’s in China (maybe).

I already eat a e. latifolia fruit and its great… a bit sweet without adstrigency…

I assume the accessions he’s got are going to start entering wider circulation over the next few years. Really hope so anyway, there’s surely some really useful genetics there.
