Because there aren’t many insects around, usually, when my Plum trees are blooming,I’m having to do their job by hand.
Because of the numerous amount of flowers and varieties, especially on some multi-grafts,I may be skipping some on one day and possibly come back to them the next.
My question is,when a flower is in full bloom,is there a general amount of time to get the thing pollinated? There are probably environmental issues involved, like wind, rain, sunlight and how much pressure the tree is exerting, but are there noticeable signs, like absence of pollen on the anthers or some petal fall?
I just don’t want to be doing something where there is no profit. Brady
