Today is Pentecost Monday. Every year on this day, the shepherds move their flocks of sheep from the pastures to the mountains for cooler air and grazing fresh green grass. It being 93° F today, you’d understand quickly! This Provençale tradition is centuries old and just as charming. A lovely sight! It is called the Fete of Transhumance!

The boy and the girl dressed just like pictures of shepherds I saw in story books. Thank you for posting this tradition. It’s interesting to learn.
