Topworking Redhaven Peach

My Redhaven Peach tree has become very lopsided. I was going to topwork it with another peach variety; however, I have had very little success grafting peach scions. I was wondering if topworking with either Toka, Superior, or Santa Rosa plum would be feasible as I have had much better success with plum scions?

I need to act soon as the stone fruit trees buds are starting to swell. It seems too early in the Spring to be considering topworking a peach tree, but it seems like I have no choice as it’s been mild in NJ.

Thank you!

Grafting J plums to your peach tree should be no problem.
