Twig Blight or Fire Blight

I would have guessed that the dead shoot in the picture was caused by fireblight but its actually twig blight according to Penn State:

Good information i was surprised as well but i did notice the abscense of the shepards crook that is consistent with fireblight. Thanks for the information. Not knowing about twigblight most of us would call it fireblight.

I was very surprised many commercial growers in Pennsylvania were confused by the Twig Blight.

I had not seen it discussed before so it must not be a common topic like Fireblight
