you see ads for exotic fruit on FB marketplace all the time so I guess that’s the venue.

Then again this being Alaska, tropical pests stand the proverbial snowball chance in hell. Not that I’m condoning the practice.

I hope they are found financially liable for the current Tau Fly abatement effort in CA.

Hope there are significant penalties for this. They need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Those Californians take this stuff very seriously. They used to stop the cars entering the state from I-10 and confiscate the fruits and vegetables.

Unless something has changed in the last couple years , they still have checkpoints on I-10! They don’t operate them 24/7, but when they are open everyone has to go through them. I was surprised to see that on a road trip a couple years ago.

I used to commute from Truckee over the line for work for a while- I remember always enjoying telling them I did not have fruit left over from lunch
