U.S. National Plant Germplasm System

Has anyone ordered plant propagation materials (i.e. cuttings) from the U.S. National Plant Germplasm System? https://npgsweb.ars-grin.gov/gringlobal/query/summary.aspx
I was particularly interested in experimental varieties of peaches and nectarines (both classified as varieties of peaches). As criteria, I listed Brix, Date of ripeness and eating quality, but I am very confused by the search results. While I had always assumed that high brix would equate to better eating quality, that is apparently not so from the search results. I suppose that in addition to high brix, the fruit could be fibrous or bitter. These are after all experimental varieties.

What was far more confusing were the dates of ripeness, where dates listed could vary by many months. To me, that defies logic. Any explanations?
