Sorry but you are very confusing here. You said breba are below the stem. What are you calling a stem? There are stems all over a fig tree. Stem is another name for a branch. Are you talking about the stem of the leaf? That’s better called the petiole. Any branch even 2-3 yrs old can be called a stem.
Just say old wood/breba and new wood/main. A stem can be also anything on a fig tree.
You are welcome. Yes fig trees are very unique and confusing. The ones that produce fruit their fruit skin are the flower petals, the figlets are flowers that turn in to a fruit with a fruity inside. If you think the common fig is confusing, other types are even more confusing.
