Visiting ramv

Ram and I live about 5 miles apart and he offered me some delicious Methley Plums that are primo right now.
I decided to take a few shots of some other things growing there.bb
Figs.I haven’t seen so many in one place. Each time visiting,Ram shows me new varieties.

Desert King Fig.This is the big one in the back yard and is about the same size as the Methely Plum tree.I wanted to try one that was very soft in my opinion, but he said to wait,as it wasn’t quite there yet.

Loquat. These are being grafted, along with Figs.

Apples

In the front yard, are Figs and some Persimmons.

Wow. Awesome. Love seeing all the pics too! Never actually heard of any other varieties of persimmons other than the commercial varieties. Can those be eaten semi hard like the fuyu? I am not a fan of the more astringent types. Is the loquat actually grafted to the fig?! How is that even possible?!

Saijo is astringent til ripe, but is an excellent variety. In fact, the name means,“the very best one.”
Ram is grafting Loquat onto Quince root stock, which helps dwarf them.bb
