I have a volunteer pomegranate that I am beginning to think will never set fruit. It is in its 5th or 6th year and has plenty of flowers, but I’m guessing they are all male or intermediate flowers since no fruit is being set.
Below is a picture of a flower I removed and sliced in half. If I get no fruit this year, next year I am going to graft over with a new variety. Any variety suggestions? We typically get our first frosty mornings in October. Other pomegranates in the neighborhood are setting fruit now.
