What do you find as a negative on thornless blackberries

Walking around last night got me to thinking about my thornless blackberries. Anybody else have any negatives?

  1. I fight rabbits chewing on the canes. Thorny varieties hardly any damage at all.

  2. Bird predation, I have more bird damage/eating them than my thorny varieties.

I just planted blackberries last fall. I got 2 thorny and 2 thornless. Time will tell!
Iā€™m not surprised by your list, I guess. Seems logical.
