I am determined to grow tomatoes for my newest desire to make “ sun dried tomatoes “, this is must desire this season. Have this recipe for years now but never tried. I have ordered a perfect variety just for this recipe.

So…the recipe for Sun Dried Tomato says to use a dehydrator?
You don’t have to. You have plenty of sun, that might be a better way, a oven is also decent but you need better control with an oven. You don’t want your tomato crispy, chewy yes.
We make them every summer in the dehydrator. It’s definitely a favorite in our house.
I also add thyme to the spice mix.
