What to do with double saplings from single seeds? (Lemon and orange trees)

Hi all,
I have started growing a couple of lemon and orange trees from seed. One of the lemons had 2 saplings grow from a single seed so they were side by side in the growing pot. As I re-potted them I accidentally split the 2 seedlings, as the soil fell from them and they had 2 separate root systems, so I potted one into another pot giving me an extra lemon plant.

I have also planted 2 orange seeds that I have noticed have both also got double shoots. I am now wondering what to do with them. Should I have left the 2 lemon shoots in the same pot side by side? Should I leave the 2 orange saplings growing together or should I split them too? If I split them do they both have an equal chance to grow and potentially bear fruit?

Many thanks!
