Where to order honey jar jujube?

Looking for a honey jar and one other type of jujube. I have one tree that I have been growing for the last couple years but I’m looking to add a couple more for pollinators. Having trouble finding them online. Appreciate any help.

Well, most folks order from Roger Meyer. His site:

I think there are a couple of others. Google it.

Seems tough to get a hold of him. Was hoping to find another source.

This is very true. Also, I think he ships in spring. Not sure if this is too late.

Burnt Ridge Nursery, L.E.Cooke, Edible Landscaping, one Green World, England Orchard, and Raintree Nursery. Here is the list that you can start searching. Best is learn how to bark graft on Youtube and buy scion wood or trade with someone and multi grafts your existing tree. Good luck

How/what is LE Cooke? I thought it is a UK company. A mystery to me…

L.E. Cooke Co

Must I have to do Everything. Lol.

L.E. Cooke is only wholesale. Haven’t seen honey jar at any other nursery. I am fine with grafting but the tree I have now doesn’t really have enough branches to do much grafting.

To me, Sugarcane and So taste almost the same with Honey Jar. The three of them taste very good and but Sugarcane and So seem more productive than Honey jar. You can’t go wrong with any of these. Choose the one that is readily available.

maybe it is just me or the soil/climate of las vegas, but sugarcane and contorteds(and shanxi li’s) grown here have a slightly bitter(but not unpleasant) taste which is totally absent in honey jar. The bitter taste disappears when the fruits start getting wrinkly. All of them taste great regardless.

burntridge nursery seems to be the more reliable, and one whose honey jars are at least three feet tall, a rare size for this in-demand variety. My only gripe is that they are a bit relentless in trimming their plants’ roots, which imparts a great deal of anxiety and uncertainty to anyone opening the box…

Thanks. Burnt ridge looks to be out of them but it will give somewhere to check next spring.

forgot to write, i actually bought the last available honey jar juju from burntridge for this season. I tried to check other websites but they all seem to be sold out for this year… If your stance is that of a right-here-and-right-now(and i know EXACTLY how that feels  ) , Mr Meyer seems to be your only viable recourse. He is a busy man, but he is a good vendor. Three years ago, i got lucky being able to contact him, and the plants arrived before could even sign and mail the check! His honey jars might be on the small side, but they are still honey jars. Due to demand, i am sure burntridge will have more hon jars for next year, considering that they have been selling it for two consecutive years now. Rollingrivernursery also has it, and they actually sell potted plants, with intact rootballs in intact earth), which virtually ensures 100% survival, but are also sold out often.
if all online nurseries have sold out, your only choice is to order budwood from Mr Meyer. Jujus could be grafted at almost anytime after leafing out, at least before it gets too hot, or a few weeks before the rootstock becomes dormant.
