The organic potting soil I bought was smothered in white flies. I didn’t see anything when I opened it but after watering my seeds they were everywhere. Most of my more delicate seedlings died. So almost all the flower seeds and quite a bit of the corn seedlings. And my lettuces.
The brassica are standing up well against them. It’s the only organic soil in a bigger bag that walmart sells.
Is there any way to pretreatment the soil before using it? I’m doing the spray from this vid3o as my peppers had aphids.
It is working for the aphids and my peppers are still looking good! Last time I tried dawn and my peppers lost all their leaves and did so poorly and as soon as it released the aphids were right back. This spray is working so far and my plants look good. However he doesn’t mention white flies.
I’m thinking I could spray it on the soil around each seedling???
Are there other ways to get rid of white flies in the house? Was thinking of buying lacewings but the reviews on Amazon aren’t that great. Does anyone know a seller that has good outcomes? I grow organically. Thank you in advance.
I hope this link will work.
