Wild tree ID help

Can anyone ID this tree? It’s growing wild in what looks to be an old cow pasture. Located in central Texas.

Thanks

Could be lots of things but my first thought was some kind of plum.

Well I will definitely keep an eye and see what sort of fruit grows. The blossoms smell amazing

My first thought was plum too.

I realize i said it was a plum but on second look an apricot looks a lot like that also. Plums are typically white blooms and have a good smell. All apricots ive seen are pink blooms.

Some sort of plum…or a hybrid thereof.

Looks like a wild plum . The small tree next to it is probably a sucker . They form thickets . Needs a pollinator so likely no fruit .

Most likely a Chickasaw plum. They will spread like crazy in the pasture and produce a lot of quarter to half dollar sized plums.
