Here are some possible explanations:

  • You (or somebody else) heavily prune this tree. Pomegranates bloom on new growth and if it’s cut off in spring, then there will be no flowers.
  • Your tree is mislabeled and actually not a pomegranate.
  • It’s a miracle of nature.

I’ll add another possibility, from my own experience… siting could be an issue.

When I was 8 yrs old, I rooted some poms from a productive bush at the home of a family friend. Planted them at my grandparents’ farmstead. They were well within the rootzone of a young black walnut tree - what 8 yr old knows about juglone? The poms grew OK, but did not produce fruit for 35 years, until excavation for a new septic line - between the poms and the BW - severed BW roots and caused decline and eventual death of the BW - but the poms burst into fruit production and never looked back.
