Year-old apples

Tonight for supper, in one covered skillet: one potato, halved, oiled, S&P, one section butternut squash, two Wealthy apples, halved and cored. Put the apples in halfway through. In a second skillet: two boneless pork chops, oiled, S&P. Both skillets lined with parchment to simplify cleanup -I get brownie points for that. Steamed green beans.

The Wealthies were picked over a year ago and stored in plastic bread bags in the bottom of the fridge. Not that good for eating out of hand, but delicious cooked to a sauce consistency and spread on the chops. The apples and the squash were sweet without added sugar.
