Wow what a beautiful apple inside and out! How would you describe the texture and flavor? I am considering either this or the Red Devil, leaning towards Red Devil because it is self-fertile.
Strawberry Parfait has a unique flavor and aroma compared to the other red-fleshed apples in my orchard. Rather than the more common berry (or occasionally cherry) flavor in the others, it really does taste and smell something like a strawberry. The flavor isn’t overpowering, though the aroma is strong on a warm day. The texture is also unusual, as it’s a bit like a ripe pear. It gets quite soft when fully ripe, but is firmer when picked a bit earlier.
I like it quite a bit. It’s an unusual early-season treat that I look forward to.
