It looked OK to me, but maybe I’m missing some sign. I’ve actually seen much uglier graft unions than this one. But, I suppose that would explain the roots looking OK, yet the top being so badly affected.
Maybe I should just wait to see if the roots send up some suckers. If that happens, but the top dies, then I know it was something in between, like the union.
