crossing with p. bessyi must have been in an attempt to push blooming later. Both my White and Red nankings have completed there blooms. My Meader crosses are just starting and my p. bessyi ‘Hansen’ look to be last and the buds are just barely popping.
You might get more fruit if you plant a ‘Hansen’ nearby.
