Portland is a lot hotter than Van BC. We just have a lot going on and we like to take vacations, go to the beach, and camp in the summer when it’s 95-100 degrees F. If you’re literally there everyday and you don’t feel trapped, it can work. We would just feel trapped by the garden then. Good point.
