Golden Delicious on my in-laws 40+ year old tree
I found this dropped plum and I’m assuming a plum from last year that rotted stuck to the barb of the barbed wire fence around the cow pasture.
Plum Parfait Plumcot.
Broken skin started coloring and rotting it before it got tasty.

In love with the Chuhily roses right now along with Double Delight.
Blushing Star, a Saturn peach (forgot what variety already without looking at the tag) and Rising Star peaches sizing up.
For the PNW, the Star series of peaches seem to be PLC resistant. I haven’t sprayed anything on them and they’ve been out in the rain all rainy season.
Down in SFL for work for the summer. Get to watch some pond apples grow. I missed the strangler fig fruit; was green last month, has been all eaten this month.
I grab a couple of handful of Joan J raspberries each day as my vitamin C supplement when I’m out in the garden.
hauled my 3 potted citrus on on the deck 3 days ago. they got a little sunscald, lost a few leaves but are starting to adjust. the rain over the weekend gave their soil a good flush. ill hit them with some fertilizer weds. once they dry out a little.
We had unusually cold May, more like November, and now suddenly it’s scorching.
Zone 4… do you menage to ripen the fruits?
they ripen in dec. and jan. indoors. my mineolas only 4ft and it ripened 8 fruit. my 30in. owari ripened 1. both are loaded this year and have self pruned to about 15 fruit each.
I have always had horrible scale issues with citrus especially.
Especially when I bring them in for the winter. So I stopped taking them outside, or like this past winter I experimented putting them in my unheated garage after having them outside all summer, instead. That worked well.
i did too. now i spray them down a couple times with soapy water before bringing them indoors. seems to have done the trick.
Turning out to be a bumper fruit year for PNW. Bagged around 50-60 fantasia nectarines on a 2nd leaf tree with super high vigor (compared to others in my yard).
