My biggest hazelnut harvest has been six nuts. Animals may have gotten a few while we were on vacation.
I thought of you today because I was wondering if it’s possible to establish a microclimate in this region? Sorry to ask this question here on a thread about a nursery review.
I’m not sure microclimates are anything one can establish. Topography or infrastructure pretty much determine it.
I will taste some tomorrow.
I’ve ordered something from Burnt Ridge every year for the last 8 years. Mostly bundles of native trees last year and this. As long as I am ordering something they grow themselves I am always happy. I found out they get their seaberries from a wholesaler when I directly asked last year why it was hard for them to give me a shipping date or even let me know if I was going to get them at all. So if you want seaberries, get them elsewhere. All the fruit and nut trees, scions, and cuttings I have ordered have come on time and well packed.
