Well a quick update, for the science. I created a separate thread to describe the apple itself but as for how the young tree was affected by letting it grow 2 apples - I didn’t notice much of effect. That comes with a big disclaimer that this year had weird weather with a wave of fungal diseases and all my apple trees put on much less growth than I hoped. But at least comparing to several young trees that had no apples, I cannot tell the difference, they did roughly the same.
