Captan 80 WDG

If this publication from PSU is correct, different brands of Captan 80 WDG may not weigh the same amount per tablespoon. Most commercial fungicides are labeled for a certain number of pounds per acre for each crop. This can make conversion to tablespoons per gallon tough if the rate is not provided on the label like most products targeted to homeowners.

In my state the max rate of Captan 80 WDG is 5 pounds per acre on Apples. Typical spray rate is 100 gallons/acre which would be ,8 ounces per gallon.

Thanks for that. I might be thinking of something else. Is Eagle myclobutinyl?

I’ve been using Eagle 20 for the past 3 yrs, and haven’t had a fungal prob. My spray schedule with Eagle 20 is every two weeks.

And yes it’s mycobutyal I know the spelling is wrong😡

From my notes/labels
Captan 80 WG is sprayed in a concentration of about 0.2% (0.15-0.3% range); it is 20 g /10 l of water.
I don’t know how helpful this is since it’s given in metric. I think you mixture is very close to this.
