Do you guys net your peach trees?

Yes I net mine. I found some netting cheap on Amazon. It is very dry here in N Az and often the birds damage stuff just for the water. I also net my apples, apricots, blackberries, tomatoes and cherries.

I have tried other bird deterrents, like mylar tape, ballons, discs and even bird distress sounds. Netting, while not perfect saves some produce. Other methods only work for short periods.

I wish someone would make huge netting bags that could be dropped over the trees. Working wirh what is available is time consuming. I use clothespins and ground staples.

The largest bags I found for trees are 10x10. They work. I wish they were more like 15x15 though. I can’t find larger anywhere.
The 10x10s have zippers. Think I may just do the rolls of netting in the future.

If the trees are trained with at least 3’ of trunk before first branches it’s pretty quick and easy to tie a 30’ square woven net to a tree and secure it around the trunk. Now there’s a source for 50’ square nets at a reasonable cost from the link I provided.

I train the trees I manage to a 5’ trunk to work with so I can also staple on a coon and squirrel baffle below a net when protection from ground troops and the airforce are both required.

I have many years and orchards worth of experience doing this but in the northeast so my experience may be different than yours- but putting up nets should be quick an easy if you don’t use plastic mono-filament. If you need a frame use the branches as the foundation for it and tie the net with string tightly around the trunk. All you have to do to get to the fruit is remove the string.

Thanks for the netting bag info
Currently I.have been using 13x33 ft pieces. I think each piece is less than 7 bucks. Its mono, but seems to last 2-3 seasons. On my bigger trees I need 2 pieces. I use clothespins to fasten the seams together. I also use pins to close holes. Frames are not going to work for me. Way too windy here. 70mph sometimes. It even will move netting. I was looking for possibly some used fish net, but what little I found was priced high. If someone would make a 15x15 bag with some 1/8 inch net material, that would be almost perfect for all but the largest trees. Thicker, stronger material would give some real life to them. As is currently, it seems the green mono I have been using is the most cost effective. I still have some of the older black netting, but it is getting brittle.
