The gullible…first time buyers. And somebody will indeed be hawking snake oil.
City folk…getting nervous…and buy into these ‘deals’ for protection from (something they fear).
I thought Oil-snakes went extinct back in the 1800’s
speaking of lumber/housing, i initially thought home prices would go south quickly when the pandemic was officially declared last year, but the low mortgage interest rates seemed to have prevailed over the uncertainties that housing average price here in vegas has already(and incredibly)exceeded the average home price circa 2006 when it peaked(just before the bubble burst).
perhaps the tulip mania bubble won’t be repeated, but i think history will repeat itself with the homebuying frenzy happening here the past several months…
plus the qualms of colorado river drying up…

Yeah I am curious how the Colorado river drying up will affect places. I am wanting to get a house in Arizona in a few years and you wonder if that will lower the house value.
Buy the house after it looses all value and set your self up to live in the desert instead of the rain forest like everyone else does.

A ‘slurpie’ dries up much faster as you put more straws into it and more people suck on it.
Same with the river in a dry area.
I plan to plant perennial trees and raspberries when/if I move there. The trees should already be slightly established by the time I move there in a few years.
If they don’t get a brain freeze.

Some people on the auctions are buying things more expensive
, and they could buy the same thing at walmart
Even certain things mailed for less money hassle
(and the auction you have to drive to pick up)
(this happened once I saw before Covid People not researching)
It is happening a lot now.
Keep this in mind if you want to sell some stuff .
Oh I also blame that on phones get a PC and look before you buy

I think the best thing is for people to take a long walk or bike ride instead of being cooped up

Hey…you’ve seen mail order nurseries raise prices 20 to 100% this spring…so who knows how much the market can stand.
Yeah I am curious how much the market can stand. How much can you raise the price before people give a big fat nope to the sellers.
