Yes Kansas takes an incredible amount of chemicals to grow apples but it can be done. Apples should not be grown in Kansas. Blackberries grow well here but in places with higher rainfall the berries turn to mush.

Yes, not to mention that it ensures clockwork-like sunlight. All my late crops were severely delayed because this past August rained for the entire month.

Many are concerned about droughts hitting Kansas very hard right now. Every pond i own that fills from rain water is at least 12 feet low right now.
