I agree with you and Tim that Mango is a lower tier variety when you consider the whole spectrum of available cultivars.
As to the original topic - I had my second year of fruit from the 4-25 seedling.
They were bigger this time around. Flavor was perhaps slightly piña colada as its parent’s name would imply. I noted “rummy”.
But still not durian
The taste of durian is due to sulfur. That’s why it tastes like boiled onions. Or it’s like raw dumplings, it’s like raw dough with a taste of minced meat with onions.
Does the paw-paw haba have sulfur in it so that it has the taste and aroma of sulfur (durian)?
Not typically. I believe the durian flavor - one noticeable specifically as durian rather than a component of durian such as eggy, custardy, or burnt sugar - is very rare in pawpaw.
