FarmGirl's grafts

Here’s my first Avocado graft that took - after three previous attempts. This is a Pinkerton.

That’s awesome, @letsski! Very exciting when one takes, especially after failures. Good job!

I just started watching the fantastic series @SkillCult put together on YouTube for teaching how to graft. I highly recommend spending the time to watch it. I had done some research on grafting to understand the basic principles prior to his videos, but watching them has greatly increased my confidence in my ability to try it this spring. For what it’s worth, I also placed an order for many apple scions as well as quince, jujube, and fig cuttings from Fruitwood Nursery for spring 2021 (my first orders from them). I am hopeful that they ship good quality materials.

An update on fruitwood- they sent my apple scion/rootstock order on the 14th.

Everything looks fresh and good to me, although maybe smaller than I expected, but I have little to compare to other than what is in the forums. I imagine if I do a righteous job of grafting and planting they will grow fast.
