Fig trees, can you braid sapplings of different varieties

I wouldn’t worry too much on room for 4 potted figs. You can keep them small so they don’t take up much room. Just prune to a leader or two and prune any side branches that’s getting too bushy. You can let them get bigger and bushier once you have the space

What is the right potting soil for figs, my sister tried to grow them but her tree died by winter.

Just any “potting soil” would be okay for them. Don’t do “garden soil” because garden soil isn’t meant for potted plants. Most plants will die potted with “garden soil”.

Our garden soil is just extra soil from our garden beds, I haven’t had a ton of luck with potting soil actually working for my plants. Could a tree and shrub blend of soil not work for them?

Typically garden soil is too heavy and doesn’t drain well enough for potted plants but there’s always exceptions, especially if it’s mixed or so. If it works for you, great. If it doesn’t later on, i would just grab some potting soil and repot. Keep an eye on them for potential issues

I defiantly will, hopefully the trees arrive in time, I plan to do gardening this week and its sort of first come first served with the bagged soil we buy for our flowers and trees.
