Can anyone talk about Shefford? It’s barely mentioned on the site. Anyone growing it and liking the berries? Are they actually crisp? Is th plant actually thornless?
I have a few shefford bushes planted this year, couldn’t tell you yet, maybe next year xD But yea I definitely made sure to grab as many I could reasonably get because I love the look of the greenish berries.
But I may have possibly bought… a few too many, I got 3 oregon champions today to go with… let’s see, counting my jostaberries… more than 10 other bushes already planted xD

I planted a Shefford this spring as part of a pollinator garden project for the community. If it happens to produce this year, I’ll let you know.
