I have one of those somewhere and I’ve never used it, and my goumi are ripe needed to get picked with super hot weather for the next week 
I wonder where it is?
I’m wondering if you might want to move them farther away from the sidewalk. Accounting for full sized growth, even if you prune them, each will probably grow to at least a six to ten foot circumference and it looks like you have room. It would be easier to do while they are small, rather than regretting it after they start to really grow.

I appreciate that feedback! It is what I was hoping for if people have more experience with goumi than me. I am a novice with this plant.
I will move these sweet babies as suggested but do you know how they handle pruning?

When learning about them, I watched A LOT of videos on YouTube to get a sense of their size, flavor, etc. I remember watching one where a lady talked about hers getting to be 15 feet tall and she decided to prune. They handled it beautifully. I think it was done when they were dormant, unlike some mulberries, etc. Go to YouTube and type “goumi” in search and you’ll be amazed at how much is there. I do that with all of the fruit I grow, especially in the winter when I’m not out gardening. Heppy is a great one and he has a few on goumis.
I’m so glad that you weren’t offended by my comment, but took it as how it was meant–to help! I almost didn’t say anything, but I thought that you might be willing to take it as constructive…which it was. I know if I don’t have to prune something, I’m very happy not to.

I just finished the video you linked and I am surprised I had not run across Heppy’s videos before. I liked how the information presented and it was not a bunch of extras wasting my time.
There is a more popular YT channel where the information will be good but I can’t watch the guy cause he just blabbers on an on, making me aggravated.
I’m so glad; yeah, I love his videos. He is very “real” and I love his sense of humor!

Some that I used to watch got very political. I get enough of that in the news; I watch gardening videos to get away from all of the turmoil.

I grow it because it’s delicious, requires almost no care, and is too early for bugs to bother.
I have Red Gem, Sweet Scarlet, Carmine, Raintree Select, and Subrise Ruby. The first three are the most popular and easiest to get. After a couple of years, the three of those gave me berries for the entire month of May. RG and SS are both smaller, but i find myself picking berries off of those more than the larger ones because they are sweeter. The larger ones have a better eating experience just because there’s more per berry. I think it’s definitely better to eat a few at a time of mixed ripeness so you get some sweet and tart together. Flavor is pretty much the same for me across the board.

Do you all think there is any concern with it acting as a good pollination partner with one other goumi, since it may or may not an interspecific hybrid? My first goumi is a Carmine (still in a little pot awaiting site selection). Catherine’s Find would be its neighbor.
‘Carmine’ doesn’t need cross pollination.
