Grafting on Bradford Pear

100% of the pears and apples took and are growing well!

A full list of what I grafted on my Bradford/Callery seedlings:
Crispen aka Mutsu apple
Cripp’s Pink apple (or Mott’s Pink, I think the label was a mistake)
Winner Banana apple
Apple-Pear Cross (That’s the name, maybe a hybrid)
Clara Frijs pear
2 Asian pears of unknown varieties.
Unknown apple maybe Evercrisp

And on another the same “Evercrisp” and the variety Apricot Apple.

And on transplanted suckers and seedlings, lots of Korean Giant aka Olympic Asian pears and Raja Asian pears.

I think if they’re around they’ll be plenty good for most apples, interstem grafting is easy, so you can do that too if you’d like, I like to take a longer interstem, whip and tongue what I want on it, or chip bud if the top variety is very limited, then graft the long interstem onto the wild rootstock however works best, it’s easy to handle and you can graft it in one year, the only downside is plucking buds off of your interstem once the top starts growing well.

Here’s my apple pear Frankentree on a Bradford seedling, I think. I also successfully grafted evercrisp or something like that, but Asian pear is what I would really recommend!
Loquat would be interesting to try far enough South, or Medlar farther north.
