Grapes - What Does Labrusca Flavor Mean? Etc

That sounds like a great eating experience. Is Suavis seeded? If we can arrange it next winter I’d greatly appreciate cuttings.

I’d like to try Everest. It would be a different flavor from anything else I have.

Those grapevines at Cornell are ungodly vigorous. They look more like morning glory vines. I doubt the brix is very high grown like that.

Yes, it’s seeded. Takes heat very well and doesn’t crack, at least in the Central Valley.

The vine is at my parents’ house and is young but should put on plenty of growth this year. I’ll keep you and @californicus updated.

I ended up getting Somerset and Neptune. I would have liked Jupiter as well but it was not available

These will add to newly planted Glenora, and Einstat.

I have also potted a Thompson and Ladyfinger. Considering that they were not ideal choices for my area, perhaps they will have a better chance kept small and brought in during winter.

My experience with Thompson seedless was not good. It grew in the ground for about a year and a quarter and then died. I’m guessing that it only thrives in a dry climate.
