Everybody experiences periods of time when they may deviate from their true-selves but they come back to their true self.
some of itās as easy as childhood innocenceā¦
What people will realize some day is there is no pain physically or mentally with marijuana. Thatās whatās happening right now. Good luck to your state. I really have hope for you.
Figured I would give my 2 cents. I used to grow in closets and a spare room for a friend who would move it whole sale. It would pay for my rent and than some. As soon as Mass made it legal here in New York the price plummeted. I married my wife and knocked her up, ending my contraband grow op. I often day dream the easy money 125 sq ft could produce.
Yup, a lot of lower skill workers are out of jobs but some are getting grow permits. Here in NY, I donāt know how the legit sellers will make money because itās too easy to grow and sell for the black market. Folks I know that donāt smoke it are doing it to make some extra cash and it seems like prices have plummeted based on what someone offered me. I laughed at the idea of buying pot- havenāt done that since I was about 15. In Ca. back in '67 an ounce of seedy Mexican weed cost $10 an ounce and a kilo could be had for about $100. I guess if you factor in inflation you now can get much much better stuff for close to the same money- not counting the seeds.
I think itās legal up to 3 ounces or so. Itās still a little risky because Iāve heard they measure the dirt with roots intact. How much of that is fake news I am not willing to risk but 1/4 ounce of the finest green I can find is the same as what I was selling an eighth for 15 years ago. At this point it is more of an IRS issue with not paying taxes which is another headache I want to avoid.
The law is you can grow up to 3 plants per person with no mention of weight. The stricter rules are about transporting it. A husband and wife can grow 6 plants so we are talking quite a large quantity, whence the difficulty in controlling its distribution. I suspect things will be tightened up later.
Have you ever seen poison ivy in bloom? The berries look as appetizing as Eves first apple. I plan on having a poison ivy berry cobbler with lead wine for my 89th Birthday.
Iām not quite that brave. Birds eat and scatter them of course.
ā
I thought eating the nectar, and especially the pollen, to be bravery enough.
(Iām not real alergic, but can and do get poison ivy rash once in a while)
The law regarding growing seems fair to me. A guy I know planted three plants this past summer. The result was so much pot he doesnāt know what to do with it all. He gives it away for free to anyone who asks.
I donāt like the New York law allowing the retail sale of edibles without a doctors prescription. Iām convinced it will increase the consumption of THC among teens. If a kid smokes at home it is obvious to parents. Consuming gummies not so obvious. The human brain continues developing into the early 20s. THC effects brain development. New York is making it easier for kids to consume something that will change their brain development. A quote from Time magazine:
" Edibles, in particular, have become more common among calls to Poison Control Centers. Though studies have shown that teens believe theyāre less harmful than the traditional method of smoking marijuana, edibles pose their own set of risks. It can be difficult to manage your dose when consuming edibles, and they may take hours to kick ināwhich means that kids may unwittingly eat more to try and feel their effects."
I wonāt say how I know. But todayās pot in vape form is so much more powerful than the 70ās absolute best ever itās not even a contest. You may as well smoke Gainesville green as a comparison. Itās like the difference between and extremely red state to an extremely blue state. No comparison. Edibles actually absorb in a very different manner and donāt seem as volatile as the vape. Same % THC but very very different.
