What are your thoughts about Shinko?

I know that I’m not @Zone6 but I hope that my limited experience might be helpful.

I am so very glad that I am growing Asian pears. Earlier this year I harvested my first ever fruit from the large variety of fruit trees that I planted in 2023.

That Shinko Asian pear was so, so much better tasting than the ones I had tried over the years when a relative who grew up in South Korea had shared ones they had purchased at local Asian grocery stores in the correct season. I’m so looking forward to growing many more of all of my pear trees.

I’m not sure what your latitude is (34.0797849 here) but my one fruit was fully ripe by July 30th.
