How big can figs get?

Are these large figs mentioned in this thread common figs or figs that require the appropriate variety associated wasp for pollination?

The large rather flat one (Genovese) mentioned above is said to be developers in Canada… So I can assume it is a common fig?

I’m saying ‘common’ as that is the term I’ve read that refers to figs that don’t require wasp pollination.

the 160 gram presumed Brunswick is a breba and not pollinated.

last time I was in socal at a friend’s, these were on the tree. no idea what kind; the tree was very large and old, from before she bought the place. I did manage to get one saved cutting to root and they are just a bit smaller in the pot I’ve got it in.

the biggest ones in the tree were softball sized (but covered in beetles, so I’m not holding any here) they were red inside, juicy and jammy, and pale green outside when fully ripe. the tree was taller than her two story house

ripe one from the cutting, a bit smaller than the size of what I’m holding in that photo
