How big is your Kasandra persimmon?

Yes, many of mine shriveled on the tree, starting at the bottom. There has been no shortage of water.

Hi Steven,
Nice collection, your Kasandra’s are significantly larger than the two I harvested this season. Mine was produced on a graft onto my Chocolate tree last spring, the only graft of several varieties that actually fruited. I am thinking it may improve with each season of maturity, but it could also be held back by my rootstock which I believe to be Lotus as its vigor is somewhat limited. So I am considering grafting some onto DV rootstocks next spring to determine if this variety can improve here. Another reason for its lack of size may be our cool and short growing season. Since I will be testing a number of varieties your feedback will be appreciated
Can you tell us:
What rootstock is your Kasandra on?
How old is the rootstock or the graft that is producing?

My Kasandra’s fruit looked like what you’ve pictured. i’ve identified the fruit size as ‘small’ on my webpage. very tasty but small. great pic, btw. gives perspective.
