25 gallons is crazy!! People grow them in hardware store buckets and get fruit :laughing:

All mine are in 15 gallon pots and pump out fruit every year. Any heavier and I wouldn’t be able to move them inside during the winter without a crane :joy:

I don’t move them! I build and remove a hoophouse over them haha

How often do you root-prune?

You’ll need to root prune them eventually if they’re in pots. I’d imagine that would be a pretty… involved… process with a pot larger than 20 gallons. Definitely still doable, but you might find a 20 gallon pot a good middle ground :person_shrugging:

I haven’t had to yet, but the plan is every 3-4 years.

it’s 4-5 ft. between the trees. the rows are farther apart.
I get more figs than I can eat. The distance between the trees has nothing to do with production.
