Induced resistance to Peach Leaf Curl

I mentioned it on my post on PNW thread. I didnt have PLC until last week, something in last two weeks (rain+sunshine mix)triggered the fungus in our climate.

It is also dependent on the target plant. Apricots are sensitive to sulphur. I’m not sure whether that ought to also include hybrids with Apricot parentage. YMMV.

Shucks! I have one that was really hit by PLC this year, did not spray at all. It’s still limping trying to get enough leaf cover on right now. So it’s highly susceptible from my experience. Would have been curious to see if your spray controlled it on that one.

I have no doubt it would have shown similar results as other trees that were in the experiment. Susceptibility and resistance is more of a trait once the infection occurs. i.e. how the tree handles the fungus pumping auxins and encouraging leaves to grow abnormally. What all sprays do is to reduce the spore load (in case of sulphur, H2O2 etc.) or Destroy the fungus that has germinated (in case of copper adhered to the bud).
