I came across this article about how Robert Frost moved to Vermont to become an apple farmer, with the goal of creating “a new Garden of Eden, with a thousand apple trees of some unforbidden variety.”
I knew Thoreau was deeply interested in apples, but I didn’t know this about Frost.
