Is the jenny capable of pollinating other furry kiwi varieties?
Just found this which answers my question. Have you or anyone tested whether Jenny will pollinate other female kiwis?
I have not grown Jenny, so I haven’t confirmed. Because Jenny has the Friendly Boy gene that is required for viable pollen (and is absent in females), I would predict that it can pollinize females. Someone does need to test it.
Maybe I’ll test it. I have very limited space and so a male that fruits would be magical. If I plant Jenny and saanichton and the saanichton doesn’t get pollinated, can a I graft a male fuzzy to it?
Yes, fuzzy kiwi are very easy to graft.

Did you get more jenny fruits again for 2025? If so, are they ripening well for you in your climate? Im in Ohio 6b and have been thinking about making an attempt since we also added a couple hardy kiwi vines, but my son loves the fuzzy kiwis
